Canada Post service disruption
The CNESST is closely monitoring the labour dispute at Canada Post. All measures are taken to reduce any inconvenience to customers.
Check the Canada Post Labour Dispute page at Québec.ca regularly to keep up to date on the situation and the measures taken for cheque distribution. Note that only cheque distribution services and mail communications will be affected by this labour dispute.

Cheque distribution
In order to avoid significant delays in cheque delivery, the CNESST, in collaboration with the ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale, is taking the necessary steps to ensure distribution of the following cheques:
- reimbursement of expenses cheques
- income replacement indemnity cheques
- permanent partial disability indemnity cheques
- compensation for bodily injury cheques
- death benefit cheques
Visit Québec.ca for cheque distribution dates and to find the Services Québec office nearest you.
Direct Deposit Enrolment
CNESST encourages you to register for direct deposit. By registering for direct deposit, you will ensure that you receive, directly and without complications, the amounts to which you are entitled, at the time you are entitled.
Register for direct deposit as soon as possible to receive your next payment automatically into your bank account. Register for direct deposit on CNESST MonEspace.
As of May 29, to ensure that cheques are not held up awaiting distribution at Canada Post during a labour dispute, the CNESST will hand over cheques to Services Québec offices for people who have not registered for direct deposit. You will therefore have to pick up your cheque at a Services Québec office.
MonEspace CNESST is the tool of choice for obtaining more information about your cheques and viewing your administrative communications. Depending on your registration date, your latest cheque details may not be immediately available.
