Section 81.3
Examination related to pregnancy
An employee may be absent from work without pay for a medical examination related to her pregnancy or for an examination related to her pregnancy carried out by a midwife.
Notification
She shall advise her employer as soon as possible of the time at which she will be absent.

- Interpretation

There is no fixed limit as to the number of absences permitted. The right of a pregnant employee to be absent from work for a medical examination also extends to cases where the employee is examined by a midwife. See the interpretation of section 81.1 ALS concerning the obligation to notify "as soon as possible".
