Section 81.2.1
Written notice
A paternity leave may be taken after giving written notice of not less than three weeks to the employer, stating the expected date of the leave and that of the return to work.
Exception
However, the notice may be shorter if the birth of the child occurs before the expected date.

- Interpretation

The employee must give a written notice of at least three weeks to his employer before going on paternity leave. However, this time period may be shorter if the child arrives before expected.
