Prohibition
Employers are prohibited from replacing a leave contemplated in section 67, 68 or 69 by a compensatory indemnity, unless a special provision is contained in a collective agreement or decree.
Compensatory indemnity
At the request of the employee, the third week of leave may, however, be replaced by a compensatory indemnity if the establishment closes for two weeks on the occasion of the annual leave.

- Interpretation

The annual leave cannot be replaced by a compensatory indemnity, except in the following cases:
- where a collective agreement or a decree has a specific provision to that effect;
- where the establishment closes for two weeks on the occasion of the annual leave and where an employee requests that his third week of leave be replaced by such indemnity.
